The Account Manager-Inside Sales is a techno-commercial position in a start-up /early growth environment. This position entails the completion of various sales and marketing tasks to promote the company and generate high-quality leads.
Responsibilites and Duties
- Source new sales opportunities through outbound cold calls, emails and other social media vehicles.
- Understand customer needs and requirements.
- Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate business development person.
- Close sales and achieve quarterly quotas.
- Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest.
- Maintain and expand your database of prospects across industries.
- Team up with channel partners to build pipelines and close deals.
- Perform effective online demos to prospects.
- Remain up to date on product developments and solution offerings to ensure that customers are made aware of all appropriate value-added services the company provides.
- Develop knowledge on the portfolio of products offered and confidently speak to clients about various solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering teams in Mississauga and New Jersey to understand and develop winning propositions and present them to customers.
- Participate in the creation of marketing literature, solution documentation, web content, proposals and customer facing presentations.
- Leveraging social media and online channels to promote and drive sales.
- Maintain data base of customers/opportunities.
- Provide regular and prompt reports to management.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in a relevant field.
- Understanding in Engineering technology.
- Ability to leverage social media/online channels to generate leads.
- 1-2 years of technical sales experience.
- Excellent business and technical verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience coordinating technical and commercial responses.
- Dynamic research skills and the ability to articulate are essential.
- Attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Thrive in a startup small team environment and work well with others.
